Olympic Distance Triathlon
0.93 mile Swim | 31 mile Bike | 6.2 mile Run
The Olympic Distance Triathlon is the premier athletic event in Big Bear, leading you through the most beautiful and challenging terrain in our mountain.
The race starts at Pine Knot Marina on their deep water docks, following buoys and route guides for the 1.5K (0.93 mile) swimming section of the course. The Olympic course will go past the Jetty before turning North along Eagle Point before turning around and ending at Veteran's Park.
Ride past the dam through Arctic Circle to Snow Valley, then turn around and complete the loop around the north shore of the lake. The section between Arctic Circle and Snow Valley can get fast - ride safely! Please observe all street and course signs as the course is not closed to through traffic.
The final event of the triathlon takes you on an out-and-back through the quieter and scenic residential streets of Laguna Point, ending back at Veterans Park.
